The importance of the English language and the Chinese language in today’s global marketplace is indisputable. As companies and people interact more globally each day, globalization engenders the need for better communications among the participants. In the sphere of global trade, the United States of America and China have become important trading partners today and for the years to come. To be successful in this environment, people must be mindful that to successfully globalize is to successfully localize. Without an insightful appreciation of the local culture and proclivity, one’s prospect for enduring success is limited. There is no better way to gain direct insights into a culture and its market than seeing and reading them in its own language. What is lost in translation can be the difference between ultimate success and missed opportunity. Moreover, it would be a real loss if nations, companies, or individuals failed to gain a real understanding of each other when globalization and technology are supposed to bring them closer than ever.
